Where Do they Come From?

Following is a list of possible sources where we might find interested people open to the Gospel message. The first eight are the best sources:

        1. Visitors at all church services
        2. 2. Mates of church members.
        3. Newcomers to the community.
        4. Weak and unfaithful members.
        5. Census contacts who agree to a home study.
        6. People who complete a Bible correspondence course.
        7. Benevolent contacts.
        8. Personal friends, relatives.
        9. Advertising contacts.
      10. Hospital patients, nursing homes.
      11. Families where a death or sickness has occurred.
      12. Business contacts.
      13. People to whom we show hospitality.
      14. Newlyweds.
      15. Families with marital problems.
      16. Those dissatisfied with their present religion.
      17. Contacts through service clubs, social clubs, etc.
      18. Helping people move in, fix flats, etc.
      19. Recreational contacts.
      20. Jail contacts.

If you know any of these, why not share the good news!!

NOTICE

Beginning in August, on a trial basis, your bulletins will be mailed on Thursdays with a delivery on Friday or Saturday. It seems that the congregation will be better served this way. If you have questions or comments, just get with Ed or call the church office.

Let's not forget the Reed's upcoming Missionary trip to Mexico. We need to pray for this effort as well as support it financially.

The "MEXICO FUND" now stands at

$360.00

Let's make it grow!!!!!

Mary Grimes telephone number has changed please see her for the new number.

NOTICE

The price of the "Gospel Minutes" has been increased by 3 cents per copy.
So this would be a good time to evaluate whether or not you really want to receive it. We want all who want it to receive it, but do not want to pay for material that is not used. Just let Ed know by the end of July.

.

In order to better utilize our resources and serve our members better, we are in the process of reorganizing our Sunday School program. If you have any ideas about this, please pass them on to John or Ed. Also Please let it be known if you are willing to teach.

From the Pen of JOHN HOBBS....

Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned." (Mark 16: 15-16)
This is a divine command! If we are going to be followers of Jesus, we must obey this command. "How" we fulfill this command is left to us. We can send a missionary or printed material or use television or radio, etc. The bottom line is that we must obey! The Lord has given us freedom in "how" we obey the command.
We are going to start offering Bible correspondence Courses. This is "one way" we can obey the command of Mark 16: 15-16. When we give financially and this money is used to pay for these Bible Correspondence courses, we are obeying this command. Every member at Ninth and Main needs to realize that he or she is taking the gospel to the world by supporting this work. Let us pray that those who take these courses have the right attitude as they study the Bible (Luke 8:18, Acts 10:33; John 20:29; Matthew 5:6).
I want to encourage every member to come to Bible school if you are able to come. God's word will take us to heaven if we read it, study it and obey it. (Acts 20:32)
Please continue to invite people to come. "Please" give me names and addresses of people to invite. We will mail letters inviting these people to come.
