From the pen

Unscriptural
versus Antiscriptural
There are
many things that are "unscriptural" that are
permissible and acceptable that we do. For example -
buying a building in which to worship, using multiple
cups in the Lord's Supper, having a visitation program,
etc.
If
something is "antiscriptural" it is a sin - I
Corinthians 4:6; Matthew 4:4; Galatians 3: 15; Revelation
22:18-19; John 10:35; John 12:48; Revelation 20:12; etc.
We must be
good Bible students and know the difference between
"unscriptural" and "antiscriptural.
The elders
have asked us to fill out forms (areas of service) to
help them perform their work better. This is certainly
"un", but not "anti". Do you agree?
Let's all fill them out and get them returned to the
elders as quickly as possible.
Our
visitation program is alive and well. Please become
involved.
On August
23 we will have a leadership dinner here at the building.
Please make plans to come. There will be no cost. Please
let us know as soon as you can if you plan to come. We
will have the meal at 5:00 P.M. and then have a speaker.
May God
bless you.
In Christian Love,
John Hobbs
